HYLO® GEL | 0.2% Sodium Hyaluronate | 10ml

HYLO® GEL is our clinic's choice for extreme dry eye.  It contains a high level (2mg/mL) of non-preserved, phosphate-free Sodium Hyaluronate.  HYLO® GEL has worked well for ongoing management of our patients with more severe dry eye.  Note that often in advanced dry eye, pulse steroid use is required.  HYLO® GEL is not a steroid but is used in clinic between pulses.

When we started to use the HYLO® line in-office, I was unsure about the bottle design.  It is a plunger style bottle that you squeeze from the end.  This has turned out to be a fantastic feature for those of us that have trouble putting drops in our eyes!   The long tip and squirt of drop makes sure that half of the drops are not running down your cheek!

HYLO® GEL eye drops contain the sodium salt of hyaluronic acid, a substance found naturally in the eye and other parts of the body. Due to its special physical property, HYLO® GEL forms a regular, stable, long lasting lubricating film on the eye surface. This film is not easily rinsed off.  The drop causes transient blur when instilled. HYLO® GEL provides long-lasting moisture to the surface of the eye to efficaciously support the natural process of healing.

Each bottle has ~300 drops.  I typically recommend 2x/day so that is over 4 months of relief.
