Description

Innovative Calmo Eyelid Spray for Dry Eyes - When this product was introduced to our clinic, I was initially skeptical of product claims...  Would a spray, applied to the eyelids, provide relief for rapid evaporation of tears?   Evaporation issues are so common with digital devices... could this be a new, novel option for those not interested in using drops?   YES and YES!

  • Offers immediate comfort and humidification of dry eyes and stabilizes the lipid layer of the tear film when sprayed on the closed eye.

  • Is preservative free and usually very well tolerated.

  • Contains liposomes and dexpanthenol (pro-vitamin B5), which moisturize the eye area and provide preventative protection for the skin.

CALMO® Eye Spray moisturizes the eye area and provides the building blocks of a great tear film.

Sprayed upon the closed eyes, the lipids contained in CALMO® Eye Spray mix with lipids produced by the glands at the lid margin. Upon opening the eye, this optimized lipid mix spreads onto the tear film.  The lipid layer of the tear film is thin so a small amount of CALMO® Eye Spray is sufficient to repair and stabilize that lipid layer.

The effects are rapid and with every subsequent blink, the tear film on the eye surface will once more be supplied with the optimal mix contained in CALMO®

Relief from1 - 2 sprays will work for approximately 4 hours.

How to use CALMO® Eye Spray and how often / how long?

It is very easy: Spray CALMO® Eye Spray 1 - 2 times on the closed eyelids from a distance of approximately 10 cm. Do not spray the product into the open eye or touch the eye surface with the spray head. Generally, applying CALMO® Eye Spray 3 - 4 times per day is recommended. If you apply CALMO®

CALMO® Eye Spray is suitable for long-term use.

When using eye makeup, CALMO® Eye Spray should be used before applying makeup and after makeup removal. CALMO® Eye Spray can also be used with previously applied eye makeup. In this case, only one spray should be applied and the distance between the dispenser and the eye should be slightly greater (about 20 cm).
